About John Holloway Sr., CRS, GRI, ABR, e-PRO, - The "Real Estate Doctor"

 

As the leader of The Holloway Team at RE/MAX Realty One, John Holloway is a full-time professional who specializes in residential property including villa's, condo's, golf course communities, waterfront, single family residences and new construction.  He's known locally as The Real Estate Doctor.

 

A former licensed real estate instructor, John as taught both prelicense and continuing education courses at the Withlacoochee Technical Institute.  He is a past chairman of the Realtor Association Education Committee and also served as the Association's Treasurer and on the Board of Directors.  He currently serves as an instructor for new member orientation where he specializes in contracts.  John has received the Association's Education Award on three separate occassions - 1996, 2000 and 2008.  He holds the CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation which has been awarded to only about 4% of all Realtors.  He also has been awarded the GRI (Graduate, Realtors Institute) designation, the ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) designation and the e-PRO designation.  John started with RE/MAX in 1992.  During the time he spent as manager and broker of the Inverness office, he was selected at Manager of the Year for the Florida Region.  He is also a member of the RE/MAX Hall of Fame.

 

John has been featured in Real Estate Business, Florida Realtor and Today's Realtor magazines.  He has presented countless real estate seminars throughout Citrus County including First-Time Homebuyer seminars at Central Florida Community College.  He has worked extensively with relocation, both individual and corporate for 20 years.

John is a former U. S. Marine having served for almost five years during the Viet Nam era.  He was born and raised in Lorain County, Ohio and moved to Citrus County in 1987 after the General Motors plant he was working at was closed in a downsizing move.  He received his salesman license in 1989 and his Broker's license in 1998.  After serving in a management capacity, he returned to residential sales in the beginning of 2006 to focus primarily on running The Holloway Team. 

 

He lives in Inverness on the 18th tee of the Inverness Golf and Country Club with his wife of 30+ years Sylvia (but he's not a golfer).  His son John Thomas Holloway  works in the Inverness office of RE/MAX and has two children, Caleb and Aubrey.  His daughter Jamie is married to Brian Lefferd who's on active duty in the U. S. Navy.  Jamie graduated from the University of North Florida with a teaching credential.  Jamie and Brian recently had their first child, Ezra John.

 

In his spare time, John enjoys motorcycle riding, playing the drums, jet-skiing, reading and relaxing with family.  He especially enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, Caleb, Aubrey and Ezra.
